Agateware is made by taking several colors of clay, four colors in this design, and throwing them on the pottery wheel together to allow the colors to swirl and mix organically, into this lovely spiral design! The colors for these mugs are white, brick red, tan, and just a touch of black to make the other colors stand out. They are then glazed in a clear glaze to really make the colors pop. Details: Each mug is holds about 12-14 ounces of your favorite beverage. These are also available in a smaller 8-10 ounce size which you can see in the link below called Same Artist Pieces. Each piece is microwave/dishwasher/food safe and contains no lead. Each piece is a high fired for durability.
