The Mahogany Mug is superbly crafted in a rich and unique Mahogony colored glaze combination. (Click on pic above for larger view, the pics above show variation of color, in the same mug). Each Mahogany Mug holds either 15-18 ounces (large, available in a 12 ounce size too). Each mug stands about 5 inches high and 3 1/2 inches across, not including handle. These are high-fired (2385 degrees, Cone 11) for maximum durability, with a Porcelain mix. Each piece is lead free, dishwasher and microwave safe. As with all hand crafted pottery the coloring and size will vary from piece to piece, making each piece a one-of-a-kind. Our potter is a west coaster, making pottery for over 25 years. We fire at that high temperature to get the most durable product possible, with the most esthetic glaze results, in our opinion, possible. We fire in a reduction atmosphere... which helps create esthetically pleasing pieces.
